Hey R.C.,
I had to fit in a quick blog before the big game today, so because it's Super Bowl Sunday, I've come up with a few quick and easy exercise tips to get your heart pumping! Don't worry, you probably won't even notice you are exercising!
The American Heart Association recommends getting 30 minutes of physical activity a day for at least 5 days a week to maintain heart health. But who's got time for that?! Here are some easy ways to fit in exercise into your schedule!
Incorporate exercise into random daily activities. I have a friend who does lunges while she blowdries her hair in the morning! You can lunge, stretch, do some yoga poses, bicip/tricep curls with soup cans, etc.
Get your dance on! Don't think I haven't see you getting your groove on at the Cattle-Ac on the weekends! You'll be having fun AND getting your heart pumping at the same time!
Take the stairs or go for a walk during your lunch break. It'll be more fun if you bring a friend!
Pick a parking spot a little farther away from the grocery store and race your kids to the door. This is a good way to get your kids to exercise too, and who doesn't love a little friendly competition?
That's all for now R.C. Enjoy the game! Are you Steelers or Packers?
From my heart to yours,

I'm bald, so I can't do lunges when I blow dry my hair, because, well I don't have any hair to blow dry. Other than that, very good advice.
